How does it work?
Login to your Substack account, go to your own Notes page (https://yourname.substack.com/notes ), and follow four simple steps:
- Click the Extension icon
- Write your Note (pictures attachments welcome)
- Select when to post
- Hit Schedule
You can add multiple notes with individual schedules.
NOTE: You need to leave your browser tab open on your Notes page, and the browser plugin will post your note(s) at the scheduled time.
NOTE: If you have a custom Substack domain, some users have reported problems with scheduled posts. Please reach out to finntropy@gmail.com before purchasing if you have a custom domain.
NOTE: version 1.3.2 will ask you to configure and save your Substack Notes page URL. Click the little gearbox icon on the top right corner to access the Options & Settings page.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does this Scheduled Notes Chrome Extension work if I shut down my computer or close the browser?
A: The scheduler of this software runs in the background of your Chrome Browser. If you close the browser or shut down your computer, the scheduled posting doesn't work.
Q: How can I configure my Mac to keep system running when I am not at my computer?
A: On macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 or later you can search for "sleep" in your System Settings. There is an option to prevent automatic sleeping on power adapter when the display is off. See screenshot below.
You may also want to set Screen Saver when inactive to Never (when connecter to power) - see below.
Q: I have a Chromebook laptop, how can configure my settings ?
A: Go to Settings > System preferences > Power, and search for "idle" - there you can switch the toggle as shown on the screenshot below.
